Photoworks

2010

Photoworks is the much renowned photo workshop designed by photographer, filmmaker, & trainer Leo Castillo.

Since 2001, Photoworks has helped create more than 1500 photographers, many of whom are now professionals and credits Photoworks as where they began. Maybe it can begin here for you too.

DISCOVER PHOTOGRAPHY AS YOU’VE NEVER KNOWN BEFORE

Learn through lectures, videos, multimedia presentations and live demonstrations.

Experience and apply your lessons through the Photoworks Photo Projects.

BUILD A SOLID FOUNDATION ON THE ART & CRAFT OF PHOTOGRAPHY

Discover the Eye of the Photographer. Learn not just the hows, but also the whys.

Find out what works and what doesn't in creating a powerful image.

CREATING GOOD PHOTOGRAPHERS, NOT JUST GOOD PHOTOGRAPHS

Open to all photographers, whatever your experience level.

Continue to take great pictures even after the workshop is done.

Make the camera work for you, not you work for the camera.

“Galing!”

“It’s a must for beginners, and for professionals who want to learn what ‘photography’ really is”.

“Complete and detailed.”

“I like that everything was explained, in a good pace.

All the basics were covered-- and it’s in plain English.”

“Perfect for a newbie like me. From understanding nothing about photography, I can now shoot in Manual mode.”

“[Photoworks] was easy to understand because of the way metaphors were used to explain how things work.”

“This is so much better [than my previous classes].

I learned the basics all over again in a creative way”.

“A good balance of art & science; creative and technical techniques.”

“Taught me the basics of photography, even though I’ve been shooting for a long time.”

“[Leo Castillo] was very entertaining and open to our questions.”

“Good presentation technique. Summarizes ideas again at the end of each major topic. Breaks down topics to make it simpler to understand.”

“Very interesting that you would like to learn more. Fires up your creativity.”

“Teaching method is not boring. Stories/application make it lively & entertaining. The combination of lecture & photo critique helped me understand a lot. It is a very good informative course which I will recommend to others.”

“More than what I expected, two thumbs up. Very good foundation.”

“Though I have done some advanced reading, it stilled helped me a lot hearing it from Leo. You’ll get the details you need to learn about how to become a photographer.”

“Good venue, great facilitator. Well worth the money and the time.”

“Initially, I thought I won’t learn much, but as the days went on, I found myself being pushed to learn & appreciate photography. Now I wish the class could keep going on since I want to keep on learning.”

“[Compared to previous classes] Photoworks is so much better, by a mile.”

“It’s my first photography class. Money well spent.

It’s what I needed without being overwhelmed. Tama nga, foundation siya!”
